Let’s start with the newly opened steakhouse. Located on the ground level, Stone & Webster is the fanciest and priciest of all the restaurants within the district. Pair the filet with a glass of red wine and a side to share and leave with less money but a true steakhouse experience with dark green and wood tones, low lights, attentive service, and steak cooked to order. Ask to sit in the backroom which is quieter and away from the open kitchen.

Seafood on the water. One of the few restaurants in Savannah where customers can sit outside and look over the water while eating Lowcountry favorites like shrimp and grits, seafood gumbo and po’ boys. Grab a beer and some sunglasses and all afternoon plans have been cancelled. 

Is it even the south without barbecue? District Smokehouse shares a roof with District Seafood positioned right on the Savannah River with pulled pork, chopped brisket, and don’t forget the Brunswick Stew, vegetable and bean stew with smoked meats, a Lowcountry tradition and local favorite. Commence the meat sweats. Outdoor dining only.

This African-inspired lounge brings the savanna to Savannah with small plates, including the Hunt Board and the chicken curry bobotie Hand Pie. Stop here before dinner for a snack and a South African wine. 

Positioned on the ground floor of Plant Riverside, this Neapolitan-style pizzeria is both family friendly and great for a small party with it’s open kitchen and bustling dining room. Grab some antipasto, Italian wine, and some pizza to share. There’s something for everyone, even those carb-free people. 

Craving sushi? It happens. The newly opened Riverside Sushi offers outside dining only for to-go options or to sit in the courtyard on the Savannah River. Limited Sushi options available, but don’t worry Sake is still available for those open container lovers. 

Exclusively pouring Service Brewing Beer for your drinking pleasure. Riverside Biergarten is a carb lovers paradise. Enjoy local craft beer, Bavarian pretzels, and sausage while watching the large container ships passing by. Just like Germany, well not really. Want to sit inside, too bad. Outside only. Luckily, Savannah weather in the winter is unbeatable. 

Located in the lobby of Plant Riverside this cafe is perfect for coffee and sitting in the corner to complete some work. All day food options are available, but most people stick to breakfast or sweets. It is the most important meal of the day after all.
