New Year’s Eve will look and feel very different than last year, especially with Governor Roy Cooper’s 9 p.m. curfew. “The curfew is going to make things look very different for guests celebrating this year,” says Jeff Seizer, executive chef at Counting House, nestled inside Durham’s 21c Museum Hotel Durham. Jeff Seizer is offering socially distant tables for dine-in, a New Year’s eve takeout menu and pre-order fizz amenities. “I am making myself available to help [guests] select additional bottles of wine/beer to have preset in their rooms,” Seizer adds.

The countdown to midnight will most likely be in the comfort of your own home, but there are a few ways to safely celebrate. In addition to supporting local bars and picking up cocktails to-go from William & Company, Alley Twenty Six, Kingfisher, Accordion Club, and more, check out a few spots around the Triangle for dine-in and to-go.
