It's after lunch on Friday, which means many are considering their post-work drinking options. In that very spirit, Eater Readers weighed in on a dozen happy hours across Charleston they swear by, whether it's for cheap cocktails or bites or, in the case of one bar, a notable paella. Fish's loyal following swears by the $6 dim sum and $4 cocktails offered up weekdays from 4:30 - 8:00 p.m. But the King Street French/Asian spot recently changed their happy hour specials, adding half-priced bottles of wine on Mondays, $10 pad thai on Tuesday, etc.

CO might have cropped up during the banh mi craze of 2012, but from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., dishes like pork belly buns and gyoza are the $4 special. Their happy hour is on weekdays, and includes $4 house drinks and a $5 signature cocktail.

Upper Deck Tavern

King Street dive bar Upper Deck drops their prices on drinks from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on weekdays. An Eater reader also reported they host happy hours during Second Sunday from noon until 8 p.m.

Burwell's Stone Fire Grill

Happy hour means it's Nickel and Dime time at Burwell's. Items on the appetizer list are either $5 or $10 and cocktails are $5 and champagne is $4. It's daily from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Half-priced rolls from 5 p.m. - 7p.m. often means a packed bar on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at King Street sushi stop O-Ku. There's also $3 off "specialty cocktails."

Octobachi

Spring Street's Octobachi has so many specials, it can be hard to keep up with. During happy hour, it's a buck off booze. Also, it is possible to order sushi nachos, which is a tower of chips and fish.

Stars Grill Room

Earlier this year, Stars kicked off "Tap Wine Tuesdays," where wine is half-priced from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Appetizers, like mini burgers and oysters, get slashed to $3 at 5 p.m.

Cha Cha's Tequila Bar

At least one Eater reader swears by the tequila-fueled happy hour over at Cha Cha's. There's free pool until 7 p.m., $4 margaritas and $10 tequila flights.
