After Charleston mainstay Butcher & Bee (1085 Morrison Drive) shut down in September, owner Michael Shemtov and the team decided to move a second location of sister restaurant the Daily (652 King Street) into the space. They announced yesterday that the Daily pop-up will come to an end on December 30.

Butcher & Bee chief of staff Tara Pate wrote, “After speaking with our team we came to the consensus that the time was right to wind us down and start our next chapter.

The good news is that Charleston showed us there is plenty of demand for a larger location in the future and that many of them enjoyed the experience at Morrison. It’s much nicer for us to go out with the feeling that we were well received than a realization our idea wasn’t good.”

So what’s next for 1085 Morrison Drive? Another restaurant will likely join the NoMo neighborhood with Edmund’s Oast, Heavy’s Barburger, and the upcoming XO Brasserie.
