The Indigo Road Hospitality Group opened its first hotel Skyline Lodge on July 1, in Highlands, North Carolina, and now will open its seventh Oak Steakhouse location on Monday, July 5. This will be the first steakhouse for the area.
Oak Steakhouse executive chef Kelly Vogelheim and executive pastry chef Anne White took inspiration from the Blue Ridge Mountains for the dinner and dessert menus. In addition to the standard steakhouse fare, Vogelheim brought in game animals, like braised rabbit agnolloti and venison Wellington, as well as local trout in the form of rillettes and a daily chef’s preparation. White hand picked the honeysuckles for the sorbet on the dessert menu.
The restaurant sits in the gorgeous midcentury modern Skyline Hotel, but is open to the public as well. Below is the first look at the dinner and dessert menus for the Highland Oak Steakhouse. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday, with the bar opening at 4 p.m. and dinner service starting at 5 p.m.
