Tour the Rustic-Meets-Modern Dining Room at Charleston’s Chasing Sage

The Rutledge Avenue restaurant opens tonight

It’s finally time for eager fans to be allowed into the Chasing Sage dining room. On Wednesday, June 23, the 267 Rutledge Avenue restaurant will officially open its doors for indoor and outdoor seating.

Chasing Sage was originally set to open in March 2020, but had to delay due to the pandemic. Owners Walter and Cindy Edward and Forrest Brunton instead decided to switch to a takeout model and rotated menus from around the globe, from German to Peruvian to Japanese. Now the restaurant is ready to premiere the dining room with the original concept of a new American menu focused on Lowcountry products.

The menu features small plates, ranging from $9 to $19, with choices like English pea dumplings, swordfish crudo, and sweet corn cavatelli with crab.

Take a look around the sophisticated rustic Chasing Sage dining room and bar here before the official unveiling this evening. Chasing Sage is open Wednesday through Saturday, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
