Babe & Butcher makes Instagram-worthy cheese plates, too

If the thought of slicing salami and manchego and arranging tiny grapes for a dinner party snack board seems too daunting, then brand new Charlotte business Babe & Butcher can do the work for you. Opened this past Saturday, June 12, in Camp North End, Babe & Butcher offers customers a chance to build their own cheese/charcuterie/crudités boards or boxes from a set selection of items.

It’s a bit like a Chipotle or Subway situation, where the customer picks the items from behind the glass, and the employee arranges the end product, but with pretty edible flowers and Instagram-worthy results. The shop offers a buffet of cheeses, meats, fruits, vegetables, sweet and salty snacks, spreads, pickles, and olives for customers to choose from.

Babe & Butcher comes from Lindsay Anvik (the “Babe”) and her partner Robert Henricks (the “Butcher”), who had already established the brand in Charlotte with their elaborate grazing tables and charcuterie boards.
