New American/Southern restaurant Bocado Bar + Diner will expand from Atlanta, Georgia, into Charlotte, North Carolina, this summer. Bocado has been a staple of the Atlanta Westside community since 2009. The restaurant serves brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner and, late night (in pre-COVID times). The shining star of Bocado is the double stack burger.
The Charlotte Bocado will open at Atherton Mill and Market in the former Big Ben Pub space. Bocado will join other restaurants like sushi spot O-Ku, Greek and Mediterranean eatery Cava, Italian destination Indaco, and others. Bocado will have an outdoor patio and will open with COVID 19 precautions in place, such as seating on the patio, distancing tables, requiring masks for staff and guests unless seated at a table, providing QR code menus, and offering touchless curbside pick-up.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing Atherton our take on a neighborhood commonplace where visitors can make memories over good food and drink, and we’re looking forward to visiting our friends at Big Ben Pub in their new location,” says owner Brian Lewis.
