Emeline Hotel Hips Up the Market with Fresh New Restaurant and Cafe

A first look inside Frannie & the Fox and Clerks Coffee Company

The former Doubletree hotel at 181 Church Street is now the new Emeline hotel, and with it comes two new restaurants. The main eatery is the Italian-influence Frannie & the Fox. A giant wood-fired oven is the star attraction of the kitchen and dictates much of the menu. Offerings include a Taleggio pizza with burnt honey, wood-roasted chicken with chimichurri sauce, house-made mozzarella with Benton’s ham, and more. As of today, Frannie & the Fox is open for happy hour and dinner. The space has an intimate bar area, outdoor seating, and a room for private event dining.

The second restaurant is a bright cafe named Clerks Coffee Company. The daytime space offers Second State coffee drinks, pastries, avocado toast, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, and more.

From the lobby to the two eateries to the rooms, the Emeline is full of midcentury modern furniture, plenty of plants, and fun touches like a neon sign in Frannie & the Fox. Take a look around the space here.
