The big announcement came yesterday that Columbia, South Carolina, will be home to the newest manufacture of White Claw Hard Seltzer and Mike’s Hard Lemonade. The factory will be located at Pineview Industrial Park in in southeast Richland County. According to the Post & Courier, construction will begin immediately and the Claw will start to flow next summer.

This will be a $400 million project for the county.

White Claw gained popularity last summer due to the 5 percent ABV and minimal carbs and calories, while positioning the beverage as a “healthy” alternative to popular summer drinks like light beers and spritzers, one that’s easier to drink and recover from and that minimizes the guilt that comes with turning a six-pack of anything into a single serving size.
