Charleston Restaurants Vow to Reopen After Hurricane Dorian

It’s time to get out of the house

With the roads clearing and power returning to many areas of the Lowcountry, Charleston restaurants are taking to social media to declare opening status for today. Many establishments are eager to make up for the lost service days during Hurricane Dorian.

Spots like coffee shop Kudu and avocado toast eatery the Daily have breakfast ready for customers needing to get out of the house after Hurricane-Dorian-induced cabin fever.

French restaurant Felix will open for lunch, proper chippy the Codfather has fish ready to go for lunch, and Broad Street staple Fast & French says it will unlock the doors today too.

Seafood restaurant the Establishment reached out to Eater to declare it will be open tonight with it’s $40-for-three-courses Restaurant Week menu.

There’s a good chance that your favorite eatery will serve lunch or dinner today as well, so call ahead and check — except if your cherished spot is Waffle House, because they aren’t answering the phones just yet after yesterday’s closings and power outages.
