Republic Development and Management Group (RDMG) will open the doors to its latest contribution Mesu to Upper King on Thursday, September 26. The restaurant combines Mexican fare with sushi.
RDMG released the menu to Eater, and it’s split into a Mexican side and a sushi side. There’s carnitas nachos, chicken wing tacos, corn covered in ranch and cotija, a dunk confit spring roll, a tuna poke tower, a lobster ragoon roll, and more. The only crossovers seem to be the miso honey glaze on the boneless wings used in the tacos and the carnitas in the shoyu pork roll.
Mesu is basically the place to go if your friends can’t decide between Mexican or sushi and still want to party on Upper King. See the full menu below.

The new addition at 570 King Street is the latest concept from RDMG. Previously, the group opened sparkly bar Bourbon n’ Bubbles. RDMG also has plans for a third bar on the block named 1st Place, which will be a “premium sports pub.”
