Ramen choices are already pretty slim in Charleston, so when 2 Nixons owner/chef Jeffrey Stoneberger announced that he and his family are moving in January 2020, the food and beverage crowd was shook.

Stoneberger posted the reveal on Facebook. A portion of the announcement reads:

Charleston has been great to my family. We have made countless friends and relationships that will last lifetimes.

Some relationships end however and this January 2020, we will be moving back to Fenwick Island, De where I grew up.

2 Nixons has been a part of the Charleston community since 2015.

The former ramen pop-up set up a permanent location at Upper King bar Proof on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The ramen combinations always change, so one week customers might get Benton’s bacon and local shrimp shio ramen and the next week it will be blue crab ramen.

Stoneberger wrote on Facebook, “2Nixons WILL CONTINUE to serve Proof each week until I make an announcement.”
