Take a Tour of Big Bad Breakfast Before the Official Opening Tomorrow

It looks cozy

Oxford-based morning meal restaurant Big Bad Breakfast welcomed in patrons over the weekend, but lists its official opening as Tuesday, September 24. Before the opening, Eater photographer Leslie Ryann McKellar stopped in to 455 Meeting Street to see how the Big Bad Breakfast team transformed the former Simply Fashions building into a modern Southern diner.

There’s comfy booths, a bar, a bit of whimsy with a kitchen-themed wallpaper that looks straight out of the Fifties.

Big Bad Breakfast comes from award-winning chef John Currence. He and his business partner Nick Pihakis of Jim N’ Nick’s Bar-B-Q, have held the Meeting Street property for some time and originally thought to put in a Mexican restaurant, but they felt it made more sense to put in a Big Bad Breakfast.

Take a look around here and then wake up early tomorrow to try out the newest newcomer. The restaurant will also serve lunch. The restaurant serves daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
