Restaurateurs Tomas and Lynda Prado will unlock the doors on Cuban restaurant Spanglish Cocina + Bar tonight, September 10, at 5 p.m. Located in the former Bluerose space at 652 Saint Andrews Boulevard, the permanent location of Spanglish (it was formerly a concept in Workshop) will showcase the sort of meals the Prados ate in Miami — they even have a menu item subtitled “A Taste of Miami” with crispy pork belly, ham croquettes, empanadas, yucca fries, and tostones.

The rest of the menu includes Cuban fare like ropa vieja, lechon asado, and a Cubano sandwich.

The family wrote, “We are so happy to have been able to secure this location in West Ashley — we wanted a neighborhood spot and this location was perfect! We love how welcoming everyone has been and we can’t wait to meet everybody and show them how much we appreciate their love and support. We are finally home.”

Spanglish Cocina + Bar opens Tuesday through Saturday, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

See below for the full menu from the Prados.
