Minneapolis-based restaurant Butcher & the Boar will unlock its Coleman Boulevard outpost for dinner on Friday, August 30.
The restaurant, which serves American craft food, beer, and bourbon, focuses on its meat dishes served in a communal dining experience. The original restaurant features a long and very popular bar, a woodsy interior, and an open kitchen that allows the sounds and smell of the grill to reach the frequently packed dining room.
The owners took over the 9,723-square-foot former home of Southerly Restaurant & Patio at 760 Coleman Blvd., including its huge outdoor patio. Back in Minneapolis, Butcher & The Boar keeps it own dog-friendly “beer garden” patio cozy with a large wood burning fireplace.
The Charleston menu features in-house butchering and sausages made in house, as well as peanut-butter-stuffed jalapenos, andouille croquettes, New York strip steaks, beef long rib, Alaskan king crab legs, and a pan-seared duck breast.
