While the rest of the world is waiting in line for a Popeye’s chicken sandwich, Charlestonians can opt to try out the newest Southern-fried spot in town with the opening of Bishopp’s Chicken Biscuit.

Sitting at 83 Mary Street, the new eatery offers a simple menu of biscuits with options to stack on fried chicken, crab cakes, fried pork tenderloins, and more. The signature sandwich is the Bish, which is bacon, egg, cheese, and a crispy chicken breast. There’s also fries, potato salad, and macaroni salad.

The shop comes from entrepreneurs Scott and Crystal Bishopp. In February, Scott told Eater that the couple wanted to keep the menu affordable, stating “We will be very reasonably priced, in a town where dining out is typically very expensive and ‘a special treat’ for many.”

Bishopp’s Chicken Biscuit opens daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
