The Darling Oyster Bar Hosts Fundraiser for Slain Employee

Fundraiser at the Darling

King Street restaurant the Darling Oyster Bar lost its morning sous chef Tim Haman Jr. in a shooting on the Eastside of Charleston last week. To help support his daughter, the Darling will donate 100 % of proceeds from the restaurant service on Thursday, August 15.

Paella pop-up

Forthcoming tapas spot Estadio will have a pop-up on Wednesday, August 14, at quaint cafe the Harbinger. Estadio will offer vegetarian paella and mushroom toast. Monarch will serve Spanish wines next door. The cost is $15 for all you can eat and the pop-up runs from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 pm.

Mexican Mondays

Former Congress owners Mark and Adrienne Ciaburri now run pop-up Ciaburri’s Mexican Flavors. Charles Towne Fermentory will host the duo every Monday for Mexican Mondays. Look for shrimp ceviche, short rib tacos, poblano enchiladas, and more.

Italian night

Former Indaco chef Blair Machado will host a pop-up with his concept Farmstead Co. at the Daily on Thursday, August 15. The theme will be Italian, with dishes like a summer ravioli and a melon salad with crispy coppa.
