Washington, D.C., favorite Estadio announced last year that it will open a second location in Charleston at 122 Spring St., and now owner Max Kuller shares the illustrations of the interior space with Eater.

Kuller told Eater D.C. that the core of D.C.’s menu will be imported to Charleston, like patatas bravas and cured meats and cheeses, and some dishes will differ depending on what’s in season in the South.

Estadio chef Alex Lira will stage in Spain for three weeks, in kitchens across San Sebastián and Madrid, in preparation of the forthcoming opening. “This is an incredibly important round of research and development that is sure to add another layer of depth to Estadio’s Charleston menu,” says Kuller.

After Lira returns in June, Estadio will pop up around Charleston at various establishments. After that, the team anticipates a late summer opening.
