Former Spring Street Restaurant Recast as New Tasting Menu Space

A tour around Wild Common

Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas.

Verdant restaurant Cannon Green shut down over the summer to come back as Wild Common. The establishment has a new look, a new chef, and a new menu. Chef Orlando Pagán hopped from McCrady’s Tavern to take over the kitchen at Wild Common.

Opening tonight, March 21, Wild common offers a tasting and a la carte menu. Patrons can sample seasonal courses like scallops with pickled strawberries, coconut, puffed tapioca, and chickweed or foie gras cappelletti with pastrami spice and pickled garlic flowers.

Wild Common is housed within the Cannon Green space and operates separately with its own private entrance. Cannon Green is still available for events.

Located at 103 Spring Street, Wild Common opens Wednesday through Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Take a look around the new dining room, full of updated furniture, a flower projection, pops of yellow, antique mirrors, all new plants, and more here.
