Newly renovated Monza Pizza Bar opened last night with twice the seating and pizza ovens as the previous version.

King Street beer bar Closed for Business closed last October to make way for neighboring pizza parlor Monza to expand. Restaurateurs Tim Mink and Brooks Reitz (Leon’s, Melfi’s, and Little Jack’s Tavern) led the project. They tore down the walls between the two restaurants, rearranged the spaces, redesigned the dining room, and added a full bar.

Executive chef Reid Henninger (formerly of Edmund’s Oast) and chef de cuisine Emily Hahn (formerly of the Getaway) added new dishes to the menu and tweaked a few of the classics — die-hard fans shouldn’t worry too much about drastic changes.

Monza Pizza Bar starts with dinner service only until Monday, Jan. 18, and then they will resume lunch services and open at 11 a.m. every day.

Take a look around at the changes to the dining room here.
