Hurricane Florence: What’s Open, Closed, and Cancelled

Hurricane Florence is barreling towards the Carolina coast, and while the latest predictions suggest Charleston may not be hit as hard as expected, it looks scary. As mandatory evacuation begins today, Tuesday, September 11, some restaurants are closing up shop and some are hunkering down. Here’s a list of who’s doing what during the wait for Flo.

Restaurant Closures

— Parcel 32 has the plywood up on King Street.

— Le Farfalle is closed on September 11 and 12 to allow employees to evacuate.

— Chubby Fish is closed until September 18.

— Pour Taproom is closed today.

— Lewis Barbecue is closed.

Restaurants Staying Open (And Specials)

— Tattooed Moose will remain open until “it’s not safe to do so.”

— Vintage Wine bar staff say it will stay open.

— Downtown bar The Brick is open.

— Prohibition is open for your Jazz-Age needs.

— All Mellow Mushroom locations are open.

— Smoke BBQ is open for business.

— Fuel will serve you some margaritas and tacos.

— Tavern & Table is open on Shem Creek.

— Gilroy’s is pretty much always open.

— Uneeda Sicilian will be open unless they lose power.

— Little Jack’s, Melfi’s, and Leon’s Oyster Shop are all open.

— Greek restaurant Stella’s is open.

— The Watch Rooftop, Kitchen & Spirits at The Restoration plans to stay open with full menu

— Indigo Road restaurants Oak, O-ku, the Macintosh, and Indaco are open.

— McCann’s in Mount Pleasant “will be open until the power goes out.”

— Black Wood Smokehouse is open in West Ashley.

— The Daily is open.

— Brown’s Court Bakery is open for all your coffee and pastry needs.

— Uptown Social is ready to party.

— Kwei Fei plans to go forward with its pop-up at The Daily.

— The Grocery is open for dinner service.

— Kanpai will keep the sushi rolling.

— Red Drum is open in Mount Pleasant.

— Both Taziki’s locations are open.

— The Royal American remains open with beer and bar snacks.

— AC’s Bar & Grill usually stays open during storms and floods.

Wine & Co “doesn’t close for natural disasters,” says owner Joshua Walker.

— One Broad vows to keep open all week throughout the storm.

— The Belmont is open.

— Daps Breakfast and Imbibe will remain open until it is unsafe to do so.

— Early Bird Diner will be open for breakfast and lunch for today and tomorrow.

— Stack’s in Mount Pleasant will remain open for lunch and dinner until it’s unsafe.

— Red Orchids and Betty’s Eatery are open.

— Semilla is open with Taco Tuesday and happy hour specials this evening.

— Bin 152 and Chez Nous are open this evening.

— Bon Bahn Mi is open in both locations.

— Millers All Day serves up breakfast, lunch, and happy hour today.

— The Darling Oyster Bar opens the doors today at 4 p.m.

— Get fish and chips at The CodFather today.

— Nico will shuck you some oysters and serve the rest of the menu today.

— Purlieu and Cru Cafe are open for business.

— Huger Street favorites Faculty Lounge and Renzo are open.

— Swig & Swine will provide you with smoked meats today.
