Republic Development and Management Group plans to open a new bar named Bourbon N’ Bubbles at 570 King St. this fall. The group currently runs nightclub Republic Garden & Lounge on Upper King and has two more additions in the works.

The title of the bar kind of gives away the concept, but the establishment will serve plenty of brown liquor and fizzy wine with Tattinger champagne and Buffalo Trace bourbon being the house pours. The small plates pairing menu will come from executive chef Steve Jackson, who has over 30 years of experience in the industry.

The interiors will be swanky with lots of marble, velvet banquettes, and bronze fixtures. The Republic group touts that the bar will be “Like nothing you’ve seen in Charleston.” Creative Director Lamar Bonaparte tells Eater that he wants the rooms to have a cosmopolitan feel and stay intimate and fun. He also says to expect a lot of Motown and Micheal Jackson on the playlist, with an occasional live music night.

Look for more details on the menus and open date as they come.
