East Bay Street hotel The Vendue announced in January that it shut down its formal restaurant The Drawing Room to make way for a more casual spot named Revival. The original opening date was March, but as these things go, it appears that the new addition to the downtown scene will open this month instead.
The Vendue dropped the news on Instagram with a giant bottle of rosé emblazoned with Revival and stating “A Revival is Coming THIS MONTH! A modern restaurant that pays homage to the Lowcountry and its bounty is coming to East Bay!”
Revival will sit where the former Starbucks was located at 162 East Bay St. Chef Forrest Parker will lead the kitchen. There’s no menu yet, but there is a photo of a duck breast “with cracklin’ rice, peas, roasted carrots and green peppercorn sauce” on Instagram — tweezers prominently displayed as well.
Stay tuned for more information closer to the opening.
