Betty’s Eatery Supplies Breakfast and Burgers to Mount Pleasant

Tour the interiors on opening day

Downtown Charleston isn’t the only place to dive into breakfast all day long — now Mount Pleasant residents can order pancakes and omelets at any hour with the opening of Betty’s Eatery. The new diner-esque establishment comes from the owners of the former Aya Cookhouse. When restaurateurs Tony and Kelly Chu shut down the Asian restaurant at the end of 2017, they decided to flip it into an American comfort food/breakfast spot.

On the menu, there’s shrimp and grits, a wedge salad, multiple variations of burgers, French toast, shrimp po’ boy, and more.

Betty’s Eatery is now serving at 915 Houston Northcutt Blvd., in the former Aya Cookhouse space. The interiors now reflect a bright and comfortable diner. Photographer Leslie Ryann McKellar stopped in before today’s opening. Have a look around here.

The new addition to Mount Pleasant opens Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
