Huntersville, North Carolina-born franchise Famous Toastery hoped to to share its breakfast specialties and “fun atmosphere” on Feb. 12, but “unforeseen problems” have pushed its West Ashley debut back to an unspecified new date.
Famous Toastery of the Lowcountry, which is expanding to the Ashley Landing shopping center, plans to become the corner tenant inside a new structure at 1319 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. with a Wingstop chicken wing emporium as its next door neighbor. Wingstop recently started hiring ahead of its own early February launch.
Famous Toastery delayed training employees. The casual breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant tells its enthusiastic fan base, “Right now, we do not have another date set. We hope to open in March.”
This locations hopes to duplicate the look of its more than two dozen predecessors that span from Fort Collins, Colorado, to Exton, Pennsylvania, and down to Atlanta. Once open, Famous Toastery’s daily hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a menu that features egg dishes such as an avocado or country Benedict, griddle creations, flapjacks, and breakfast burritos, plus sandwiches, wraps, melts, and burgers for lunch, and specials such as meatloaf and a crab roll.
