A perennially popular downtown favorite since August 2012, Bon Banh Mi’s expansion to Mt Pleasant is right on schedule, with the team updating eager customers on social media to expect a February debut.
Located at 1440 Ben Sawyer Blvd., right at the intersection with New Parrish Way and sitting next door to Triangle Char & Bar, the Mount Pleasant Square neighborhood is already home to Steel City Pizza Co. and My Father’s Moustache English pub.
Bon Banh Mi will be importing its Vietnamese-inspired menu of sandwiches, tacos and salads and adding new choices, including specials already tested on Spring Street.
Co-owner and managing partner James Romano told the Moultrie News that diners can look forward to bun cha, duck fried rice, fresh summer rolls, sticky wings, and oxtail chili-cheese fries. Tamarind shrimp, fried chicken, and rice bowls are also planned.
The new space has finished installing a full bar and customers can advantage of a spacious outdoor patio on Ben Sawyer.
