A third location for the Tattooed Moose “laid back pub and sandwich shop” is officially on the way and the downtown, John’s Island favorite is already hinting a fourth is in its future.
The home of “Mike’s Famous Duck Club” and the duck fat fries that starred on an episode of Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” the Tattooed Moose is taking over the shuttered King Street Grille at the Citadel Mall in West Ashley.
Located right at the southeast entrance, directly across from Planet Fitness, the two-level space features garage doors that can completely open the restaurant to the mall and very distinctive wooden framed booths. The King Street Grille’s sports bar atmosphere had lasted until 2015.
Work has begun to remodel the interior and the plan is to be ready to serve by “May/June,” importing menu favorites and a happy hour.
Even with the new expansion occupying the next few months, when a Facebook poster urged the team to consider moving the next location to Summerville, the bar was very quick to respond, “That’s in the works!”
