Patrick Properties Releases Statement on Randall Goldman

Addressing misconduct allegations

Former Fish restaurant from Patrick Properties

Last week, CEO of Patrick Properties Hospitality Group Randall Goldman was accused of misconduct in the workplace and today, the owners of the business are speaking out. An attorney provided the following statement on behalf of Celeste and Charles Patrick and Patrick Properties:

Today, Patrick Properties, after an extensive investigation which involved interviewing both current and former employees, accepted the resignation of Randall Goldman. Our investigation revealed evidence of unacceptable managerial conduct which created an uncomfortable and unacceptable work environment for our employees. Our investigation did not reveal any violation of any law prohibiting sexual harassment in the workplace.

This all started when former employees claimed he made sexually suggestive comments, sent unwanted late-night texts, and behaved in other way inappropriate for the workplace. Patrick Properties runs multiple event venues and managed former King Street restaurant Fish.

When the accusations came out, Goldman was removed from the Charleston Wine + Food board and resigned from the James Beard Foundation National Advisory Board.
