Just over two months open, Caribbean hangout The Getaway is scrambling for a replacement for opening front-of-house-manager/founding partner Genevieve Mashburn. An ad popped on Craigslist this week, after The Post & Courier reported that Mashburn claimed “irreconcilable creative differences” for her leaving. The ad reads:

The Getaway, 541 King Street is looking for a Front of the House manager and Bartenders with at least two years of industry experience to join our family. We are a new Latin American & Caribbean inspired bar and eatery with a focus on quality, seasonal and local ingredients, and a comfortable ‘get away‘ atmosphere to enjoy eating and drinking. With one of the only patios on King street we are hitting our stride and busy season, so join us for Spring! FOH Managers & Bartenders apply within Wednesday-Saturday 2-5pm.

Mashburn was responsible for much of the look of The Getaway’s interiors, so it will be interesting to see if that changes. The Instagram account for The Getaway has been stripped of all previous posts.
