On Friday, March 2, at 4 p.m., the public will finally get to experience Saltwater Cowboys on Shem Creek. The restaurant located at 130 Mill St. marries two Southern favorites: seafood and smoked meats. In addition to filling fare, the eatery also promises “unforgettable sunsets” from its location on the water.

Saltwater Cowboys will initially only be open for dinner, with lunch and brunch on the way. The website is said to go live on Thursday, March 1, with more information.

Executive chef Ryan Love oversees the menu that promises more than traditional favorites. A pulled pork sandwich, babyback ribs, a hot and spicy sausage sandwich, Cheddar Creek biscuits served with strawberry bacon jam, barbecue shrimp and grits, and fried grouper sandwich make the menu, as well as, the stacked high “trash can nachos.”
