The Upper King bar/restaurant train keeps chugging along with three — count them, three — new concepts planned for the 500 block. A peek inside the construction in front of the Hyatt hotel reveals that the spaces will most likely be the future home to a sports bar, a champagne/bourbon bar, and a Mexican/sushi restaurant.
Placards posted inside the building show plans for 1st Place, a “premium sports bar;” Bourbon N’ Bubbles, no description given; and Mesu, listed as “Mexican • Sushi/Tequila • Sake Bar.”
The interiors at 570 King St. are just dirt floors now, but it seems Charleston needs to keep an eye out for more boozing and eating opportunities on the way.
Eater learned from a trusted insider that the three new establishments might be from the owner of nightclub Republic Reign Lamar Bonaparte. This has not been confirmed yet, however.
Here’s a look at the plans.
