Just in time for Hanukkah, chef Ray England (Tavern & Table), pitmaster Philip Powers (Lewis Barbecue), and McCrady’s pastry chef Katy Keefe will make a comeback as Jewish deli pop-up Pigeonhole at Shem Creek eatery Tavern & Table.

The trio originally appeared in the former Juan Luis stall at Workshop in the summer of 2017. Now that England is the executive chef at Tavern & Table, Pigeonhole is able to bring its menu to a bigger space.

“First, we are really excited that this time we can offer reservations because we recognize that waiting in line on a Sunday morning is not for everyone,” says England, “We have already booked up quite a bit, definitely excited that Tavern & Table has the ability and space to accommodate during our Hanukkah pop-up celebration.”

The menu has favorites from pop-ups of the past and well as some new editions “We are still making everything from scratch,” says England, “so we were excited to add things like matzoh ball soup, latkes and mini-bagels with caviar.”

Pigeonhole pops up this Sunday, December 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are available online.
