Nico Benefits We Are Family With Wine Tastings

We Are Family at Nico
$15 gets patrons entry to an all-day happy hour at Nico on Shem Creek featuring wine tastings, oyster sampling, and door prizes. The event runs from 6-9 p.m. next Wednesday, December 5 and benefits We Are Family, a local non-profit organization that provides direct support and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and straight ally youth. Nico will be open for regular dinner service during the event.

Wine Under the Oaks
Head to Boone Hall Plantation to sample fine wines from 15 distributors and eight wineries alongside delicious food pairings. Chef Read Wolfe of Wild Dunes Resort’s Coastal Provisions is among the local chefs participating as he offers up a cooking demonstration and samples of his sliced New York strip with smoke pepper aioli and basil pesto. Tickets are $55 per person, and the event takes place from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, December 2.

Charleston’s First Prohibition Trail
To celebrate Repeal Day, The Bar at Spectator Hotel is teaming up with Cane Rhum Bar, Blind Tiger Pub, and Doar Brothers to host Charleston’s first annual Prohibition Trail on Wednesday, December 5 from 5 to 9 p.m. Look for Prohibition-era specialty cocktails, light bites, glamorous decor, and music at the 1920s inspired cocktail lounge.

A Holiday Boutique
Head to Hotel Bella Grace, downtown Charleston’s new modern inn housed in the circa 1830 Delaney House, for a pop-up boutique featuring Michael Grey Footwear, Laura Duke Fine Art, Hart Hagerty, Ivy Rowe Boutique and Suite 33. Small bites and champagne will be provided during the event taking place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11.
