Waltz Through Upper King’s Shiny New Bar

First look at Bourbon N’ Bubbles

Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas, covering the food and restaurant scene across North and South Carolina.

Newcomer Bourbon N’ Bubbles has enjoyed a quiet start at 570 King St., but plans to rock the street this week with a VIP party. The bar from Republic Development and Management Group opened this past month with plenty of brown liquor and sparkling wine with Taittinger champagne and Buffalo Trace bourbon being the house pours. The small plates pairing menu will come from executive chef Steve Jackson.

Republic Development and Management Group uns nightclub Republic Garden & Lounge on Upper King and has two more additions in the works.

The dual rooms at Bourbon N’ Bubbles are equally opulent with loads of velvet, brass fixtures and tables, marble, and antique mirrors. There’s a smaller bar up front, facing King Street, with seating speckled around the perimeter. In the back, there’s a giant semi-circle bar lit up with flutes and bottles of bourbon.

Take a look around the space here if you haven’t visited the new Upper King addition yet.
