Long-standing wine bar O’Hara & Flynn shut down in March after 20 years, at 225 Meeting St., but will reopen as Doar Brothers. The new establishment boasts “fine spirits,” “modern cocktails,” and “quality fare.”
Local mixologist star Megan Deschaine will manage the space and has already posted a few peeks of the bar on Instagram.
It’s not often that a hip, new cocktail spot lands on the same strip of Meeting Street as Sticky Fingers and Hyman’s Seafood, but now those dining at FIG across the street will have a place to order a nightcap after their meals. The bar should be open by December 3.
Doar Brothers is already participant in a “Prohibition Trail” on Wednesday, December 5, from 5 - 9 p.m. with other boozy stops like the Bar at the Spectator Hotels, Cane Rhum Bar, and Blind Tiger. The event is planned to celebrate Repeal Day.
