All things bourbon find a home at the new Paddock & Whisky, the whisky-forward neighborhood bar now open in James Island’s Terrace Plaza from owners Reid Stone and Chris Van Liew.
A rotating roster of rare bourbons and whiskys highlights the back bar, as well as wines, rotating local draft beers, and craft cocktails. More than 50 rare bourbons highlight the bottles, with six options for well whisky.
Classic cocktails include renditions of a Sazerac, Manhattan, maple Old Fashioned, Brown Derby, and boulvadier. All ring in between $7 and $10.
Taylor Garrigan, the executive chef at Home Team BBQ who won on the Food Network’s Chopped, created the snack menu that includes a muffuletta and a turkey Russian. Southern favorite pimento cheese and meat and cheese plates go along with those snacks. Dishes range for $6 to $15 for a snack board.
Paddock features a hand-burned wood bar, a large garage-style retractable window, and an outside patio.
