Home Team BBQ Kicks Off Fall With an Oyster Roast

WEST ASHLEY — On Sunday, October 21, Home Team BBQ will host an oyster roast and pig picking at the restaurant’s Ashley River Road store, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy all-you-can-eat steamed oysters and whole hog barbecue for $25. Drinks sold separately at the bar.

ANSONBOROUGH — Zero Restaurant + Bar invites private chef Laurie Erickson for a three-course cooking class on Sunday, October 28, at 11 a.m. For $150, guests will learn how to make sesame meringue shrimp, zucchini-wrapped fish, and an autumn fruit consommé.

NOMO — Edmund’s Oast Brewing Company will celebrate a year of being open with a second grand opening party, starting at 11 a.m., on Saturday, October 20. The brewery will sell its first offering of Sour Bradford Watermelon ale both in can and draft form. The company brewed the beer with 600 gallons of South Carolina-grown, heirloom, Bradford Watermelon puree.
