After the announcement that Top Chef season 14 alum Emily Hahn would be leaving the executive chef role Spring Street restaurant Warehouse a couple of weeks ago, the restaurant has found a replacement in Maine chef Jason Daly.
Daly’s culinary style is (in his own words) “progressive Americana” — specifically, his aim is to blend New England and Low Country styles. Daly is a New Englander, but has spent time in the South, at Savannah’s College of Art and Design. His most recent post was at SALT Restaurant in the small town of Vinalhaven, Maine. That restaurant had a big focus on local fare and seafood — partly out of necessity, as it was on an island one hour off the coast, with a population of just over 1,000.
Hahn finished up at Warehouse over the weekend, but details on Daly’s new menus are still to come, although Warehouse will be expanding their food service hours. A new brunch menu is also promised.
