Ever since it opened over three years ago, NoMo eatery Edmund’s Oast has not been able to take their peanut butter and jelly beer off the brew list for fear of retaliation from rabid fans of the lunch-sandwich-flavored beverage. Many patrons asked, and perhaps begged, to take the beer home with them, but brewer Cameron Read wouldn’t have been able to keep up with the demands of the restaurant and people wanting to take home gallons of the stuff.
Now, the popular peanut butter and jelly beer will be available for sale in growlers for the first time today, Thursday, September 28, at Edmund’s Oast Exchange, starting at 5 p.m. Will there be long lines? Who will be the first to take home the coveted brew? If there’s mass hysteria, we’ll let you know tomorrow.
