NOMO — Revelry Brewing’s Sean Fleming tell Eater that the beer hall will throw its “most badass block party yet” — and it’s a taco party. Revelry invited chefs Shuai Wang, John Lewis, and BJ Dennis, along with Mex 1 Coastal Cantina and Tobo Sushi to offer food for the event on Sunday, October 29, from noon to 6 p.m. The brewery will celebrate its third anniversary. Proceeds from the event will go to The Green Heart Project. [ECHS]
NORTH CENTRAL — The Alley will host a clothing drive for those affected by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria. On Saturday, September 23, and Sunday, September 24, residents are encouraged to bring in one or more of their new or used sports-related items of clothing. Those who bring an item will receive a free Charleston Mix bloody mary, domestic bottled beer, or loaded tots appetizer. Cash donations over $20 to LowcountryLOVEforVI will also get the same deal. If anyone donates a power generator to software company BoomTown!, The Alley has offered a bowling party for 12 people. [ECHS]
WEST ASHLEY — On Thursday, September 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the West Ashley Home Team BBQ will offer Caribbean rum pairings with a four-course tasting menu for its “Booze & Bites” series. Look for jerk chicken with grilled pineapple and beef patties stuffed with dry-aged brisket. It’s $45 per ticket, and they can be purchased by emailing events@hometeambbq.com.
