CANNONBOROUGH/ELLIOTBOROUGH — On Sunday, September 24, Cannon Green chef Amalia Scatena teams up with chef Kelly Fields of Willa Jean in New Orleans for a Big Gay Brunch benefitting the 7th annual Charleston Pride Festival. Tickets are $150 and include live music, passed appetizers, drinks, and a three-course meal from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. This event is a fundraiser benefiting Charleston Pride. [EaterWire]

PARK CIRCLE — Almost-neighbors EVO Pizzeria and The Brew Cellar will host the Park Circle Oktoberfest, on September 30, from noon to 6 p.m. There will beer from local breweries, wine from Stems & Skins and Accent on Wine, and Bavarian-inspired bites from EVO Pizzeria, Fratello’s Italian Tavern, Madra Rua Irish Pub, and LoLa.
