Anyone going to the Euphoria kick-off party on Thursday, September 21, will get to sample a preview of Husk Greenville before the opening in October. Seed saver Sean Brock and chef de cuisine Jon Buck will be in attendance to show off the fare from the forthcoming restaurant.
Husk Greenville, located at 722 South Main St., will feature a menu full of Appalachian Mountain traditions and history. Each Husk pulls in regional influences, so this outpost won’t be the same menu that visitors would find in Charleston or Nashville.
Brock is also especially interested in the Cherokee influences to Greenville. “That's another cuisine that's just fading away,” says Brock, “And, this is going to be a great opportunity to meet and start working those things into a menu.”
Neighborhood Dining Group brought in Buck from the Husk in Charleston. The space on Main Street is currently under construction, but NDG plans to have it online in October.
