Charleston food and beverage industry vets Jeremiah Schenzel and Nicholas Dowling will team up this fall to bring an all-day breakfast menu to downtown with Daps. Located at 280 Ashley Ave., Daps will provide a family-friendly spot for Westside neighbors to gather for morning meals, brunches, light lunches, grab-and-go snacks, breakfast for dinner, or a few adult beverages.
The press release sells it as “... inviting, serene, and eclectic ...”
In a food landscape that is constantly evolving, Schenzel and Dowling look to provide an establishment that breaks through the clutter by offering a fresh and unprecedented approach. Enter Daps, an entirely breakfast focused imbibe and gathering sanctuary. Aimed at being inviting, serene, and eclectic, this all-inclusive restaurant promises to delight the senses beginning in the fall of 2017.
Schenzel (previously the beverage director at Scarecrow Hearth & Liquor Bar and South Seas Tiki Lounge) and Dowling (formerly at High Wire Distilling) met while both worked at The Macintosh on Upper King.
Once open, Daps will “delight the senses” on Sunday through Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
