Tropical Storm Irma: What’s Open on Monday?

For those leaving their homes today

Thank goodness for Waffle House.

The rain and winds from tropical storm Irma are in Charleston, and with expected flooding and gusts upward of 50 MPH today, many restaurants have shut down. There’s still a few holdouts though, if you absolutely, positively must leave your home.

Restaurants Staying Open as of 11 a.m.

— Cocktail bar Proof opens up at 4:30 p.m. today.

— Holy City Sinner announced that a Bojangles at 5490 North Rhett Ave. is open.

Waffle House at 2229 Savannah Hwy. is open. Calls to the other locations of Waffle House went straight to a message, so they could be open and too busy to answer the phone.

Metto Coffee & Tea is open until 2 p.m.

Bar Normandy is open for all your PBR and hot dog needs.

Crave Kitchen & Cocktails is keeping normal hours at this time (11 a.m. - 10 p.m.).

AC’s Bar & Grill is open with pool table waiting.

Closed for Business announced it is shut down for lunch but will try to reopen for dinner.
