The replacement for Wise Buck Smoked Meats, South Seas Tiki Lounge, officially opens this evening at 5 p.m. Scarecrow and Co. bar manager Jeremiah Schenzel and his crew put the finishing touches on the tiki drink menu and have spent the past week testing the concoctions on family and friends.

All the hits are on the menu, including mai tais and zombies. There are also modern tiki drinks.

The former Wise Buck Smoke Meats camo-clad space has been transformed into a Polynesian-style bar complete with tons of bamboo and kitschy mugs.

Cocktail writer Miguel Buencamino stopped in South Seas Tiki Lounge this week as says it one of the most unique bars to drop in Charleston in some time.

Phenomenal tiki drinks! #chseats #tiki
