Executive chef Frank Kline (formerly of Acme Lowcountry KItchen) and business partner Grae Rambo, of Construction Professionals Incorporated, are building out a new restaurant Grace & Grit at 320 Wingo Way in Mount Pleasant.
Both raised in Mount Pleasant, the team says they share a deep appreciation for home and Lowcountry cuisine. “We wanted to create a Southern seafood restaurant that embodied just that,” says Kline, “It is our aim to reintroduce true Charleston hospitality from the food to the service, in order to create an authentic, quality dining experience. And to further separate ourselves, we want it to be done in an inviting yet casual atmosphere, so that no matter who the guest, they feel right at home with us.”
The menu at Grace & Grit will feature a multitude of grits, local seafood, and Southern staples like collards, butterbeans, and fried chicken.
Opening later this summer, the restaurant will serve dinner nightly and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
