Hotel restaurant Barony Tavern locked the doors this past January and will now be replaced with Atlanta-based 1KEPT. The new American restaurant announced that the updated space in the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel will feature all day service, indoor and outdoor seating, full lounge, bar, and a beer garden.

The PR company representing 1KEPT describes the restaurant as “... authentically Southern, with impeccable hospitality and a ubiquitous food & beverage program.” The eatery comes from hospitality company Ellis Adams Group led by Chris Adams and Thaddeus Keefe.

Offerings on the Atlanta menu include a smoked pimento cheese board, warm kale salad, shrimp and grits, steak frites, several flatbread selections, and more. 1KEPT will bring on pastry chef Charity Everett to create the breakfast menu, along with dessert and pastry options.

1KEPT is currently looking at a June 1 opening at 68 Wentworth St. Once the doors unlock, the restaurant will open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. with the bar shutting down at midnight.
