Jim N’ Nick’s Brings Cheese Biscuits to Mount Pleasant

Barbecue for east of the Cooper

Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas, covering the food and restaurant scene across North and South Carolina.

Barbecue giant Jim N’ Nick’s opened a new Mount Pleasant location today at 1486 Stuart Engals Blvd. Now, smoked meat aficionados over the Cooper River Bridge can get their pulled pork fix closer to home.

The menu will be similar to the North Charleston location, with the additions of hickory-smoked prime rib (available on weekends only) and hand-cut ribeye steaks (available every day).

Here, photographer Leslie McKellar takes a spin around the dining room of the Lowcountry’s newest Jim N’ Nick’s just before the official opening. The interiors should feel familiar to anyone who visited the store in North Charleston or the dearly departed downtown location. With the opening of the Mount Pleasant shop, there are again two addresses serving cheese biscuits and barbecue.

The hours for the Mount Pleasant location are from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
