Around the beginning of the month, casual hangout Smith Street Pizza left a note on its door stating that it would be on hiatus until several repairs were made. As of this morning, the pizzeria was still locked up, but now several tipsters have spotted the eatery listed for sale.
For $149,900 the new owners get all the furniture, fixtures, and equipment and assume the $6,500 rent.
Restaurateurs Nick and Ben D'Allesandro (D'Allesandro’s Pizza) and Dave Uecke (Formerly of Chick’s Fry House) took over the address this past February from Norman and Susan Hanf of Norm’s Pizza.
While Smith Street Pizza hasn’t been open very long, it has a reputation for killer happy hour deals, affordable slices, giant salads with housemade dressing, and a large selection of local beers — oh, and a pool table.
What will become of the Calhoun Street address next?
